The world’s leading Web3 firm and cryptocurrency exchange, Bitget, has announced that API3 (API3) is now listed in both the Innovation Zone and the DeFi Zone, demonstrating its dedication to giving customers access to cutting-edge prospects. With this calculated action, Bitget is demonstrating its commitment to expanding its market offers and fostering the growth of other blockchains and ecosystems.
API3 solves a major issue facing the blockchain sector: smart contracts’ dependable and easy access to vital real-world data. The platform’s goal is to make large-scale decentralized API creation, management, and monetization easier. The need for smart contracts to provide reliable and timely real-world data is growing as blockchain technology continues to penetrate a variety of industries, from supply chain management to decentralized banking.
The whitepaper for API3, which was unveiled in September 2020, revealed a basic problem with existing APIs: connection. Currently, there is no direct way for smart contracts to communicate with APIs to obtain the most recent data, which is driving up the need for oracles.
Gracy Chen, Managing Director of Bitget states, “Bitget seeks a good way to support the development of different blockchains and ecosystems. This project showcases the innovative potential and support for the crypto ecosystem, aligning with our commitment to offering our users access to cutting-edge projects. We aim to create a Spot Market with rich choices and excellent quality projects.”
Bitget has steadily expanded its market share over the last few years, dominating centralized exchanges in both spot and derivatives trading. The platform is committed to promoting investment opportunities and expanding the variety of digital assets available on its spot market. Notably, Bitget added over 350 new listings in 2023 alone, highlighting its commitment to increasing user options. Furthermore, Bitget Wallet provides a wide range of more than 250,000 tokens and supports more than 100 mainnets. Users can easily engage in cross-chain trade across approximately 30 mainnets with Bitget Swap’s on-chain trading feature.
