Minnapad, the cutting-edge create-to-earn DAO launchpad and NFT marketplace that provides access to renowned Japanese creators, has revealed the first two DAOs in a series of launches planned for this year.
Following an exciting partnership with two esteemed game creators, Minnapad is set to empower fans to create legendary DAO projects collaboratively and have ownership of thrilling new IPs from their beloved heroes. The first DAO will be led by Keiji Inafune, known for his iconic visual style in the Mega Man franchise, and will introduce the new IP BEASTROID across various mediums, including video games, comics, anime, and physical collections of NFTs. Minnapad will launch BRAIN FIGHTER, an IP featuring warriors controlled with brain waves, in collaboration with Seiichi Ishii, renowned for pioneering the 3D fighting game genre through his work on Tekken and Virtua Fighter. Both DAOs are slated to launch in Q2 2023.
Mr Inafune’s DAO aims to offer original characters within an exciting post-apocalyptic world where humans fight for survival, with mechanized animal creatures known as “BEASTROID” as humanity’s only hope to reach a safe haven called Paradise. Minnapad and Mr. Inafune have joined forces to revitalize the initial BEASTROID NFT collection, inviting existing holders to the DAO membership presale and offering utility within the Minnapad ecosystem in the near future.
On the other hand, BRAIN FIGHTER is the brainchild of Mr. Ishii, a visionary designer who has laid the foundation for modern fighting games through his renowned works including multiple Tekken and Tobal titles, and as the co-creator of Virtua Fighter. Mr. Ishii is now bringing his expertise in the fighting game genre to a fresh new platform with his next original IP. In this world, small robots called Brain Fighters controlled by people’s brain waves take center stage in a tag team-style battle for victory, with each person becoming the protagonist of this unique world, controlling their own Brain Fighters.
The partnerships with Mr. Inafune and Mr. Ishii mark the beginning of Minnapad’s ambitious efforts to become the go-to platform for connecting everyday fans of Japanese content to legendary Japanese creators, or “Legends,” as coined by the company. The DAO structure ensures that its members have intimate access and voting power in the creation of the BEASTROID and BRAIN FIGHTER IPs, and the direction the IPs take, giving equal voice to fans, publishers, and creators alike.
The development proves that it is the primary goal of Minnapad always to bring celebrated Japanese IPs to the web3 ecosystem.
