NFT games are becoming increasingly popular with several launching in the play-to-earn game ecosystem. Deesse, a blockchain-based enjoy-to-earn placement game has also closed its first seed round.
The game raised $2 million at the close of the seed round with many major investments from Polygon Studio, Founder of Polygon, Republic capital, Metaverse money, AU21, Tron Foundation, and NGC.
Players of Deesse can collect goddesses as NFT collectibles using different strategies depending on the goddesses and the powers they are equipped with. Deesse intends to break into set the pace in the enjoy-to-earn ecosystem through sustainability and matured gaming tech/art support as well as building an enjoy-to-earn mobile game with RPG combats.
According to Deesse founder, the company plans to take blockchain gaming to the international market, targeting mainly anime lovers.
“The long-term vision for Deesse is to bring blockchain games outside of Japan by targeting the international market with the anime-themed game. More importantly, creating a world-class game for anime lovers and allowing users to enjoy to earn while spending their favorite pastime is our mission,” he said.
The short-term plans include community building and NFT sales. The company also intends to launch a native currency that will be used to power the game. More assets will then be added alongside a marketplace and cross-chain bridges including layer 2.
