The team behind dog-themed cryptocurrency Shiba Inu (SHIB) appears to be teasing a big announcement in a mysterious video clip — with several references to SHIB — posted on its official Twitter account.
The tease suggests the team could be gearing up to drop some big news about the top Dogecoin rival that enjoyed an astronomical rise in value in recent months.
Shiba Inu Team Teases Fans
The first half of the clip posted on November 25 entails light bulbs that are steadily lighting up. The display appears like a pre-demonstration of Shiba Inu’s next project or an important alliance to be unveiled in the not too distant future.
Shortly after the segment with the huge light bulbs, the screen fades to black and two letters, “W” and “V”, merged into one symbol can be seen. Notably, neither of the two letters features on the name of the SHIB token or even its existing ecosystem.
A Forthcoming Announcement?
Some Shiba fans claim to also see a leash logo, bone logo, SHIB logo, and the meat logo which all hint at the oncoming “WoofVerse”. Other fans suggested that the Shiba Inu team could be plotting a coin burn, a competition, or new use cases that will help their favorite meme token offset the latest sell-off.
To put it into perspective, the price of the token has declined by roughly 50% from its October 28 all-time high, indicating that traders have been actively taking their SHIB profits.
Other members of the SHIBArmy believe the team is set to launch a real-world video or clip, which is not unheard of for crypto projects. Fellow meme coin Floki Inu, for instance, previously plastered ads across London.
As of now, an official announcement has not been made by the Shiba Inu team. In any case, we won’t have to wait too long to find out more details.
