After nearly a year of waiting, Tron CEO Justin Sun has finally made it to lunch with Warren Buffett. In a Twitter post, Sun said he had a fruitful lunch meeting with Warren Buffett with discussions on how to move Tron Forward. The discussion according to him also touched on Bitcoin, but no details were given.

Sun had in 2019 secured a lunch appointment with Warren Buffett when he donated about $5 million to charity. At the time, he could not have lunch on the agreed date due to the U.S-China trade war which was in its initial stage. Sun had promised to still honor the lunch invitation at a later date, but it has been so long many may have forgotten about it.

A number of key influencers in the cryptocurrency space were invited to go with Sun but from the photograph he posted, only Blockstream’s Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) Samson Mow, Litecoin’s Charlie Lee and a few others honored the invitation.

The cryptocurrency space placed a lot of importance on the meeting as it was considered to be an opportunity to convince Buffett to invest in cryptocurrency, mainly Bitcoin. Sun promised to do his best to pitch cryptocurrency to the billionaire but so far, it is not known if he succeeded in convincing him.

Buffett has been a major critic of cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin. If Sun succeeds in wooing him into Bitcoin, it may go a long way in changing the narrative on cryptocurrency in general and probably convince many others like him to invest in the space.
