Investment and philanthropy platform for blockchain businesses, WAHED has collaborated with Fondazione Europea Alessandro Cenci (FEAC). The platform revealed it had donated 5 million of its WAHED Coin to the organisation at a private event in Rome.
Per the announcement, FEAC is committed to providing researchers and medical professionals with the funds they need to help improve the lives of individuals on the autism spectrum and their care circles. As such, the donation is triggered by WAHED’s interest in extending charitable concerns to FEAC’s community. WAHED is an investment and philanthropy hub on a mission to utilize blockchain technology to scale operations and enrich lives.
Fondazione Europea Alessandro Cenci (FEAC), on the other hand, is an Italian non-profit organization focused on awareness, education and research to improve the care given to children and adolescents on the autism spectrum.
Per the announcement, the donation marks an accomplishment of WAHED’s vision as it aims to support companies and organizations that are improving the quality of life worldwide. It further noted that “the ease of transacting cryptocurrency globally makes it a perfect vehicle for charitable and philanthropic activities and sets the stage for a future where everyone can contribute to causes that they believe in.”
To seal the partnership, the chairman of WAHED, Shaikh Abdulla Bin Ahmed Bin Salman AlKhalifa and FEAC President Eros Cenci were joined by prominent members of their teams. Other renowned leadership personalities that attended the event include the former Italian Member of Parliament and current WAHED Board Member, Sergio Torromino, and Dr Salvatore Alberto Turiano, staff vascular surgeon at the University Hospital Policlinico-San Marco in Catania, Italy.
Also, a FEAC member who is also the owner of an autism therapy centre in Calabria, Dr. Luigi Lidonnici was in attendance. Giuseppe Scuderi from the Scientific and Technological Park of Sicily was not left out either.
